I got one secret quest from him after I finished all of the regular quests (Both above and below the surface), but nothing since.

 

To unlock the secret quest, you must carry +30,000 eggs on your ship.

 

Mind sharing whats the reward? Im not spending few hours farming for 1 cannon.

This is one of the very first few pets that has been released into the game, so yes, the gems are outdated on that pet.

Who needs a stone like that? Since they are outdated, replace them with current levels 29-32 at least, now the maximum level is 34 anyway!

 

Reward is purely cosmetic, who cares what gems it has...

30k eggs how do you do that? I'm just happy that I can keep up with 2500. Every time you have some, the system removes eggs and

than can start over.

It's not. I just held 30k eggs both during trade time and regular shooting and didn't get the quest(and yes I did all the daily quests too), 30k is just the cap of how many eggs you can hold

Ok I found out how to get the secret quest, you have to complete all trades with all 3 traders, don't bother the rewards are awful 5000 yulong 800 safanad 100 orichalkum

What a joke! I was just sitting there needing two more ships to spawn, in order to have enough for cannons, and I was a "sitting duck". A player came up and took several hundred eggs from me. There was not a thing I could do about it, either. To top it off, very few npcs spawned from that point on, and all of my efforts were in vain.

P.S. So I was stupid enough to try the next two-hour frame. It happened again. With 7 minutes left (and I was shooting everything), I finally got to 5,000 eggs. I rushed to safe haven, and a few squares from getting there, I got hit and lost over a thousand eggs. I will never play this event again.
